Last updated: November 1, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how 24Convert.com ("24Convert", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website and tools.
24Convert is an independently run, personal project created in 2025. Our goal is to provide simple, free online tools for file conversion, compression and related utilities, while respecting your privacy and keeping your data secure.
By using 24Convert.com, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws (such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), the data controller is the individual owner/operator of 24Convert.com.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at:
Email:support@24convert.com
2. What personal data do we collect?
Short version: We only collect the minimum information needed to operate and improve the service. You can use 24Convert without creating an account or providing your name.
2.1 Usage data
When you visit 24Convert.com, our systems and some of our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device information
- Language settings
- Date and time of access
- Pages visited and basic interaction events
- File types you convert (e.g. JPG → PNG, MP4 → MP3)
- Conversion duration and success/error flags
This information is used to operate the service, monitor performance, prevent abuse and improve reliability. We do not use this data to personally identify you.
2.2 No mandatory account or profile
You do not need to create an account or register in order to use 24Convert. Currently:
- We do not require your name, address or phone number to use the tools.
- You can use the service without providing an email address.
If we introduce optional accounts or paid features in the future, we will clearly explain what data is collected and update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
2.3 Email addresses
You may choose to contact us via email (for example, for feedback or support). In that case:
- We receive your email address and any information you include in the message.
- We use this information only to reply to you and handle your request.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your email address to third parties.
If we ever send optional newsletters or product updates, you will always have the option to unsubscribe.
3. How do we handle your files?
Short version: We process your files automatically, do not read their contents, and delete them after a short time.
When you use 24Convert to upload and convert/compress a file:
- Your file is uploaded to our servers or cloud infrastructure.
- It is processed automatically by our conversion/compression tools.
- The result file is made available for you to download.
3.1 No manual review of your files
We do not read, view or manually inspect the content of your files as part of normal operations. We would only access files in very exceptional cases, such as:
- If you explicitly ask for technical support and give us written permission to investigate a problem involving a specific file; or
- If we are legally required to do so (for example, in response to a valid court order).
You retain all rights and ownership to your files.
3.2 Storage location and retention
We use reputable cloud providers and hosting (for example, Content Delivery Networks or object storage services) to store files temporarily during processing.
- Files are kept only for as long as necessary to provide the service (for example, to allow you time to download the result).
- After that, files are automatically deleted from our systems within a short period of time, and we do not keep backup copies for you.
Files are automatically deleted within 24 hours after processing.
We do not use your files for training models, marketing purposes, or any unrelated processing.
4. Why do we collect and use your data?
Short version: We use your data only to operate, secure and improve the service.
We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate and provide our free file tools
- To process and deliver your conversions and outputs
- To maintain the security and stability of our systems
- To prevent abuse, spam and fraudulent or automated misuse
- To monitor performance and fix technical issues
- To improve user experience and develop new tools
- To respond to your support requests and feedback
We do not sell your personal data.
7. International data transfers
Because we use global cloud and network providers, your data may be processed in or transferred to various countries, including those outside your country of residence.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, regardless of where it is processed.
8. How do we keep your data secure?

- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL) between your device and our servers
- Limiting access to systems and data to authorized individuals only
- Using reputable and secure cloud providers
